Explore your talent for drawing and painting during the Jong Atelier course!

In the eight lessons of this course you will become acquainted with different techniques and materials. While you learn to work with charcoal, watercolor and oil paint, you will also learn to look carefully!

How do I represent what I see on a flat surface? What role do shape, line, composition and color play in making a good drawing or painting?

All these aspects are discussed and will be included in your final work in which you put the best of yourself!

Materials are available in the room. Of course you can also bring your own favorite drawing and painting materials.

This course is suitable for those who want to know more about drawing and painting techniques. No prior knowledge is necessary, enjoyment of drawing and painting is enough. The work you make each lesson can be used well for your portfolio, useful for an admission to the art academy, for example!

Age 14 – 24 years.

The Young Atelier course will be offered twice in the 2025-2026 course year: once in the fall (Oct. 28 – Dec. 16, 2025) and once in the spring (Jan. 27 – March 31, 2026).
