Mixed group sewing techniques

12 lessons on Wednesdays from 19:30 to 21:30
9 December to 17 March (excluding the Christmas holidays on 23 & 30 December and the spring break on 10 February)
The cost is €270 for students up to age 20 and €320 for adults.

This group is suitable for beginners, but also for anyone with some experience. During this course, you sew at your own level and pace. You bring your own projects and can come to me with any questions. For beginners, I have a number of projects with examples and instructions to help you get started.

Materials such as fabrics, haberdashery, yarn, pattern drawing paper are not included. You will purchase these according to your own taste and budget. Sewing machines and some basic materials are provided.

On my own website, under the heading Frequently Asked Questions, you will find more information about where to buy sewing supplies and fabrics in Maastricht and the surrounding area.

You will work on your own projects during the classes, so bring the patterns, fabrics and materials you need for this. Not sure yet what you want to make during these classes? Then bring some different patterns/ideas with you. Then together we will see what is feasible and what you need to get started!

Is it your first time behind the sewing machine? Then I recommend starting by sewing a bag. For this, you will need the following materials:

• 0.5m thicker fabric (jeans, upholstery fabric or canvas)
• 0.5m of thin fabric (lining fabric or poplin)
• Matching sewing machine thread
• Pins
• Fabric Scissors
