In this graphics course you will work for several weeks on a subject suggested by the teacher. You can work with different printing techniques.
For example, one subject lends itself more to working with monoprint or structural printing. For another subject, you might choose linocuts or drypoint. There is also an opportunity, if you wish, to spend time on your own work.
Inspiration for the subjects comes from printmaking and techniques from the art world. Using these topics and with explanations from your instructor, you will work on developing your own style. By working in a group you will learn from others and inspire each other. The emphasis of this year-long course is on learning, experimenting and having fun making your prints!
Printing can be done by hand, the two available etching presses can also be used.
Experience with printing techniques is not required. In class there will be time to learn new printing techniques and also to experiment further with them.
The course is suitable for beginners and for advanced students: We work in a group but the guidance is individual.

Excl. Material costs such as lino, printing inks, rollers, etching pen, palette knife, gouges, paper, sketchbook, design materials. These costs may vary according to your own wishes.
The first lesson materials are provided after that the students work with their own materials.
