Fashion All-round vocational training

The all-round professional fashion course is for anyone who wishes to master all the tricks of the fashion trade and/or aspires to a career in fashion.
The curriculum covers all facets of pattern drawing and sewing techniques.

The training can be completed by obtaining the necessary industry-recognized diplomas to work professionally in fashion. Taking the course only from interest is of course also possible, taking the exam is not mandatory.

The training consists of the successive parts:
– Basic Knowledge of Pattern Drawing & Sewing Technique
– Costumière ladies/men/children
– Coupeuse ladies/men/children
– Lingerie Specialization

Each section consists of several modules. From “costumière” you can participate in a national exam for each completed module and obtain partial certificates. Upon completion of all modules of a level, you obtain the professional diploma for this component (BMA recognized). The training can be tailored to your learning goals in consultation with the teacher.

You start the training with section Basic Knowledge.
There are 4 modules within this section:
Pattern Drawing Ladies/Gentlemen/Children and Sewing Techniques. You start with a minimum of 2 modules from this entry level. You can combine the “sewing techniques” module with one or more of the pattern drawing modules. After that you can continue with Costumière.

Study Load and Duration:
You will attend 2 hours of class each week. In addition, you will spend about 2 to 3 hours per week at home working on assignments. The average study time for completing 2-3 modules at this pace is 1 year.
Would you rather study faster or slower? You can work through the material at your own pace.

Supplies:
– Your own sewing machine that you bring to class (temporary sewing machine rental possible through teacher);
– Lesson books modules & corresponding materials package (all supplies for working out the assignments are available through the teacher);
– Basic pattern drawing supplies package (optional);
– Basic sewing supplies such as pins, tape measure, (fabric) scissors, thread, pattern paper, etc.;
– Fabrics, haberdashery, etc. to elaborate exam pieces are to be purchased by yourself and project dependent.

Class hours:
This year-long course consists of 30 classes of 2 hours each. You register for the entire course duration from September through June.

There are 3 set class times per week. You choose in advance a fixed class hour on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings from 7:00-21:00 pm.

Fee:
The registration fee is €36.50.
Training fees are €36.30 per lesson.
Textbooks: v.a. €67.50 per module.
Materials Package: v.a. €50.
(Optional) Basic Pattern Drawing Package: v.a. €30.

Payment of tuition is payable in 2 installments:
– 1st installment:
The registration fee + 60% of the tuition fee= €36.50 + €653.40.
Total €689.90 to be paid upon registration, prior to the start of the course.
Additional costs are the chosen textbooks and related materials package.
– 2nd installment:
Remaining 40% of tuition at €435.60.
Payable by February 1, 2026.
