Annual Course in Sewing Techniques

The Sewing Techniques course is open to all levels, from beginner to advanced.
During a fixed weekly lesson, you decide which projects you will work on under supervision behind the sewing machine.
If you are just beginning with sewing, it is possible to start with a short lesson program taught by the teacher. The most important basics of sewing and the sewing machine are covered. This way you will soon be able to make your own garments.

There is plenty of room for your own creativity. You will learn to work with existing sewing patterns from magazines, for example. In addition, you will learn about making alterations and fit corrections so that you can work toward your own body measurements.
Sewing skills and techniques you need to realize your projects you will learn as you work on your own garments.

Supplies:
– Your own sewing machine that you bring to class (temporary sewing machine rental possible through teacher);
– Basic sewing utensils such as pins, tape measure, (fabric) scissors, thread, pattern paper, etc.;
– Fabric, haberdashery, etc. are to be purchased by yourself and project dependent.
Prior to the course and during the 1st lesson, you will receive additional information about this.

Class hours:
This year-long course consists of 30 classes of 2 hours each. You register for the entire course duration from September through June.

There are 3 set class times per week. You choose in advance a fixed class hour on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings from 7:00-21:00 pm.

Rate:
The registration fee is €36.50. The tuition fee is €29.04 per lesson.

Payment of the tuition is payable in 2 installments:
– 1st installment:
The registration fee + 60% of the tuition = €36.50 + €520.30,-
A total of €556.80 to be paid at registration, prior to the start of the course.
– 2nd installment:
Remaining 40% of the tuition = €350.90,-, to be paid before January 1, 2026.
