Vervolgcursus Analoge Fotografie & Donkere Kamer

Til je fotografische ontwikkeling naar een hoger niveau met deze intensieve cursus voor gevorderden. In het dry lab verleggen we de grenzen van zowel techniek als creativiteit. Niet alleen streven we naar technische perfectie, we dagen je uit om nieuwe beeldtalen te ontdekken en unieke, experimentele resultaten te creëren.

Creatief Dry Lab: Solarizatie, Cyanotype & Artistiek Printen

In deze cursus duiken we dieper in historische én hedendaagse procedés:

• Solarisatie à la Man Ray
  Experimenteer met het iconische omkeereffect waarmee Man Ray de fotografie voorgoed veranderde. Leer hoe je deze techniek gecontroleerd inzet voor surrealistische, grafische en dramatische beelden.

• Cyanotype (blauwdruk)
  Ontdek het ambacht van blauwdrukken en maak je eigen cyanotypes, volledig met de hand gecoat. Speel met contrast, textuur, botanische vormen en fotografische negatieven om unieke kunstwerken te creëren.

• Artistieke prints op handgeschept papier
  Breng je foto’s werkelijk tot leven door zelf papier te kiezen, te behandelen en te bedrukken. Je onderzoekt hoe verschillende papiersoorten, structuren en absorptieniveaus de uitstraling van je beeld beïnvloeden.

• Creatieve manipulatie van licht, contrast en chemische interacties

• Het synthetiseren van analoge en experimentele technieken

• Het maken van museumwaardige prints met een geheel eigen signatuur

Voor wie?

Voor fotografen met ruime technische basiskennis die klaar zijn om te creëren buiten de gebaande paden. Je werkt zelfstandig, durft te experimenteren en zoekt verdieping in expressie en ambacht.

Advanced Creative Dry Lab Course: Solarization, Cyanotype & Artistic Printing

Take your photographic development to the next level with this intensive course designed for advanced photographers. In the dry lab, we push the boundaries of both technique and creativity. We don’t aim for technical perfection alone—we challenge you to explore new visual languages and create truly unique, experimental results.

In this course, we dive into both historical and contemporary processes:

• Solarization in the style of Man Ray
  Experiment with the iconic reversal effect that revolutionized photography. Learn how to use this technique with intention to create surreal, graphic and dramatic images.

• Cyanotype (blueprinting)
  Explore the craft of cyanotype printing and create your own hand-coated blueprints. Play with contrast, texture, botanical elements and photographic negatives to produce one-of-a-kind artworks.

• Artistic prints on handmade paper
  Bring your photographs to life by selecting, preparing and printing on hand-crafted paper. Discover how different textures, fibers and absorption levels shape the character and emotional impact of your final print.

• Producing gallery-ready prints with a distinct personal signature

For photographers with solid technical foundations who are ready to create beyond conventional boundaries. You work independently, embrace experimentation, and seek deeper artistic expression and craftsmanship.

Early birds (before December 24th) receive a 10% discount on the course fee. Students and/or people up to 21 years will receive a discount of 75 euro’s on the total of the course fee. 

Where and when?

At De Griend 3 in Maastricht, along the beautiful Maaskade in the heart of Maastricht! The course starts on 28 January and consists of 6 sessions from 19:00 to 21:00.
